Digital Marketing Strategies

(and proof that print isn't past it)

Last week, as the buzz from our AI in Marketing Workshop started to settle, we noticed something exciting happening behind the scenes. Our seeded postcards were quietly doing their job…

If you attended the event, you’ll have received a handwritten postcard inviting you to book a 1-2-1 session with Amplified’s very own Brett. A little personal touch, a small piece of card with a story of its own. And if you didn’t fancy using it? You could plant it instead and watch it grow.

Simple, thoughtful, and (most importantly) real.

Why Something Tangible Still Matters

In an age of overflowing inboxes and digital ads that disappear in seconds, there’s something powerful about receiving something physical. A postcard you can hold, turn over in your hands, and stick on your desk. Quite frankly, it lingers – and that’s the point.

When someone takes the time to handwrite a note, it feels different. It stands out in a -way no automated message can. And the results spoke for themselves:

  • 35% of recipients scanned the QR code on the back to visit our landing page.

  • 4% (and counting!) went on to book a 1-2-1 session with Brett.

Those numbers aren’t just metrics, they’re proof that when marketing feels human, people respond.

A Small Card With A Big Message

What made these postcards extra special was the dual purpose. If you didn’t use them, you could plant them and grow something new. It’s a small detail, but it symbolised exactly what we wanted our event to do - spark ideas, grow relationships, and nurture something lasting beyond the day itself.

Where Offline Meets Online

Direct mail is thriving because it offers what digital often lacks: attention, memory, and emotion. When it’s used thoughtfully, it bridges the gap between online and offline. A QR code turns a piece of paper into an interactive experience. A handwritten note turns a campaign into a conversation.

At Amplified, we’re big believers in blending digital innovation with human creativity, and our seeded postcard campaign was a perfect example of that balance in action.

In a world of AI, automation, and algorithms, sometimes the most powerful way to connect is with pen and paper. Marketing isn’t just about being seen, it’s about being remembered.
